    C. R. Buchanan’s love of storytelling began in middle school, when his chaotic sci-fi short, Attack of the Killer Croutons from a Planet Somewhere Near Mars, won first place in a writing contest. Full of errors and imagination, it was considered most original story that year.

    Since then, Buchanan has built a life around stories. He has written and acted in feature films, earned Best Supporting Actor at the 2019 International Film Festival in Madrid, and gone on to publish both stand-alone and series fiction. His novels include the Sci-Fi psychological thrillers Binary and The Tower, the opening book in an expanding saga. He is also the co-creator of the WolfStar science-fiction and fantasy serial.

    Outside his writing life, he is a seasoned script and story editor, a former professional fighter, and an explorer of the outdoors. He has hiked North America, through forests and deserts, and is forever seeking knowledge and drawn to things that sparks his imagination.

    Buchanan now lives in the countryside, where he cares for his mother, tends the land, and shares the space with dogs, cats, donkeys, and the occasional rescued squirrel. Surrounded by nature, he writes in peace (when he can) until his mother’s chili calls him from the laptop.
