C. R. Buchanan writes speculative fiction built on cause and effect, human pressure, isolation, survival, psychological collapse, and the systems people instinctively create around themselves when the world and the people they know fail them.

Some stories lean into futuristic military science fiction and dystopian worlds. Others drift toward psychological thrillers or darker literary fiction, but most end up circling the same question: how far can life bend someone before they break?

Currently published works include Binary, The Tower, and the WolfStar saga, including Dire Days and Niveous War, with additional installments completed and awaiting release.

C. R. Buchanan spends life outside of writing exploring the wilderness surrounding the Yellowstone National Park region, studying history’s failings, human behavior, science, and the saddening bridge forming between technology and creativity.
